I don't get exasperated by religion or politics as I never talk about them anymore. I just don't put my energy there. That goes into the smile on my face. I don't intend to be critical or mean, I can just go both ways. I'm not going to say that my life is perfectly together, that I just want someone to share it with. I read those profiles and wonder what they are doing on a dating site, if life is so perfect. I know, from experience, that life is far from perfect. Nobody is ever ready for what life can throw at you. I'm no really looking for a soul mate, but if one comes along... I am interested in a long-term-relationship. Distance is not much of a factor if we are compatible. Email romances are not really my thing but I truly enjoy a good conversation. If, after a few emails, we can't agree to meet, then let's move on. Well, ok, there you have it. Hope I didn't come off as too sarcastic, I'm just trying to be real. |
